General Aviation Airborne Recording Device (GAARD™) is a prototype application designed to enhance aviation safety. Pilots can use this application to participate in the Aviation Safety Information Analysis and Sharing (ASIAS) program and the National General Aviation Flight Information Database (NGAFID).
GAARD is part of an expansion of the commercial ASIAS program designed to improve safety by incorporating new, voluntary GA data sources submitted by the community. GAARD will collect GPS position and, if properly equipped, attitude information, to contribute to the project.
More information about ASIAS can be found at:

• Participation in the GA Demonstration Project will improve the safety of general aviation.
• Playback recorded data in GAARD, NGAFID or Google Earth
• Pilots who participate in safety programs are less likely to be involved in an accident (GAO 13-36, pg. 13)
Supported AHRS Devices:
• iLevil Sport
• iLevil SW
• iLevil AW
• SkyRadar-DX
• Clarity SV
Note:
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
